The Phantom of the Gaga

Did you go gaga for Gaga? I can’t even begin to describe the first of Lady Gaga’s five costumes last night. The Lady knows how to entertain, and she proved it with multiple quick changes and a theatrical performance that would have earned a standing-o on any Broadway stage. If she ever gets tired of being a super famous pop icon, I’m thinking she should audition for The Phantom of the Opera!

Va-Va-Va VMAS

Before bathing her moonman in tears, Taylor Swift owned the red carpet  with her classic Hollywood starlet look.  Her sequined one-shoulder number was hands down the most glam ensemble of the night, surpassed only by the girly red dress she debuted in her F train performance.  Normally, I wouldn’t be caught dead on the subway, but if you told me Taylor Swift was down there, I just might reconsider.

Pink

Some would call it fashion suicide to arrive at an award show wearing the same outfit as another celeb. Not so for P!nk and Shakira. P!nk relied on her peek-a-boo tattoos as subtle, rocker-chic accessories, and Shakira worked it in a pair of knee high heels that would have made a lesser female trip over her petite feet. It goes to show, it’s not the dress that makes the diva, but the diva that makes the dress.
