Cher: Under the Sea

Perhaps Cher was feeling nostalgic for her hit 1990 movie Mermaids with Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci. We all love a good trip down memory lane, but unfortunately, this mermaid-cut dress belongs at the bottom of the ocean.

Emily Blunt: Pretty in Pink

Pink is still every girl’s favorite color, and Emily Blunt proved why in a pale Dolce & Gabanna number. Em’s best accessory? Her fiancé, Office cutie John Krasinski.

Mad for Christina Hendricks

The Mad Men star looked divalicious in a gorgeous peach-colored Christian Siriano gown. With a whole lot of cleavage and just the right amount of attitude, Christina Hendricks made the ladies jealous and the men, well, mad.

The Golden Gossip Globes

After the holidays, awards season is the second-most wonderful time of the year. Perhaps it’s the uneasy tension in the air, or knowing that 4 out of 5 obnoxiously-perfect celebs will be going home losers. Or maybe it’s that we get to see so many superstars commit fashion faux paus. The Golden Globes is widely known as a “practice” for the Oscars—but will practice make perfect? Will our worst-dressed be able to redeem themselves next month at the Academy Awards, and will the best dressed at the Globes be able to top themselves on March 7th? Stay tuned for full fashion coverage…

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Amanda Peet’s heinous leopard coat makes a comeback on Mischa Barton. The best part?  Mischa is actually in costume on the set of Law & Order: SVU—playing a prostitute. Sorry Amanda!

Susan Boyle Goes Postal

She has one of the best-selling debut albums of all time, but Susan Boyle seems to be cracking under the pressure. Last night, SuBo was waiting in a VIP lounge at London’s Heathrow airport when she suddenly grabbed a mop from a janitor and proceeded to use it as a microphone, performing a rousing number (complete with obscenities) for waiting airline passengers. When officials asked her to cease and desist, the Britain’s Got Talent star fled the lounge, screaming, “I’ve escaped, I’ve escaped!” We’ve all sung into a broom before, but in the safety of our own homes. Susan, save those performances for your cats.

Katy’s Not Prego

Katy Perry took to Twitter last night to announce to the entire world that it was her time of the month. If you all paid attention in Sex-Ed, you know that this declaration conveniently dispels rumors that her recent engagement to Russell Brand was of the shotgun variety. To quote Katy on the rumors, “Better luck next month peepz.”

A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words

I’d make a snide remark about Sophia Loren’s Big Bird-esque jacket, but some celebrities are just untouchable. In fact, I’m convinced that if I were to say anything, a large bolt of lightning would immediately strike me down. Observe for yourself, but keep those lips sealed.

Hey People,

It’s a beautiful crisp day on the Upper East Side. Sadly, that’s not the case for the residents of Haiti. Before you go out and drop $100 on lunch at Tao, or even think about buying that Valentino handbag from Bergdorf’s, consider what that money could do to benefit a country where thousands have lost their lives and millions have been ravaged by its worst earthquake in 200 years.

Actress/Singer/Philanthropist Selena Gomez has the right idea. As the youth ambassador for UNICEF, Ms. Gomez is encouraging everyone to stop what they are doing and donate. Whether you can give 5 cents or  $5 million (I’m looking at you, C,) every little bit counts.

Click here to head to UNICEF and find out what you can do to help.
