Britney Spears toured the world with The Circus:Starring Britney Spears, her multi-million dollar stage show, but things went south when she brought her act to Australia last week. The Aussie media accused Brit Brit of lipsyncing, claiming that some concertgoers got so upset they walked out. Talk about a media circus! Honestly, Aussies, we know you want the real deal, but wouldn’t you rather see the pop princess lip-syncing than not see her at all?
I ain’t surprised. I always believed she lip synced.

No one expects Britney to actually SING. She just has to give a show.

Um, hasn’t Britney always lip synced? Everyone knows that, and that’s why we love her. She’s always been a performer, not a singer.

Well try to have a proper voice while you dancing… not that easy right? so i guess that’s why she lypsyncs many parts of her show.
Of course the whole show couldnt be sung live! Leave her alone!

The problem is people feel they’ve been ripped off since they’ve paid 200 AU$ and more just to see her lip sync and also I heard that there weren’t any big screens so only people in general admission could see her well, people in seats or standing far away could only see a tiny speck and so I can understand why they’d walk out on that.
people… there is a reason she has always lip-synched… she sounds awful unless they have synthesized the heck out of her voice

Yes I agree with u about many Australians, I may be aussie but alot of bogans here live under a music rock so they don’t know good musicians when they see them. Britney Spears is awesome, and who cares i f she lipsyncs – she is the best singer eva, and I’ll listen to her albums anyday instead of listening to Australian music!
I think this is disgusting. If she can’t sing on stage, what is the point of being a singer. And we Australians are smart, smart enough to not want to pay for someone moving their lips dancing around on stage. I love Britney but no way in hell would I pay over even upto $1500 AU to see ANY1 lipsync no matter how famous they were. You Americans need to toughen up and who cares if her voice goes a bit of course while she’s dancing at least shell ACTUALLY be performing properly and everyone gets their moneys worth!
Well duh, isn’t it obvious? the real reason she probably can’t sing live, because of her dancing. but I don’t think it’s fair to pay that much money to see someone lipsync. but then again at least it’s better to see her then not. like what gossip girl said.
OMG, I know I just left a comment, but get over yourselves AUSTRALIANS!!!!! I’m Australian too, and do I need to give you a wake up call!? Britney Spears is Awesome and thats that. If ur going to have a say about dancing and lipsyncing, well what about other musicians that dance and sing that u love so much. They dance and perform on strings upside down and ur telling me that they don’t lipsync? If u can pay money to see other musicians, well you can pay to see Britney Spears, who actually knows how to perform and sing better than any musicians that u would like.
If you try dancing and bouncing while singing for an hour you will relize that it’s not that easy and that youre voice doesn’t sound amazing
Lots of other artists manage just fine to sing and dance at the same time. Why can’t Britney? $200+ is a lot of money to basically watch a mime act!
